Barra e Brigante Born in Padula in the 1880’s and died in Brooklyn in the 1960’s

Michele “Michael” Barra was born in 1887 to Antonio Barra and Domenica Tepedino. They settled in the Navy Yard section of Brooklyn.

Maria Rosa “Rosina” DiStefano was born in 1889 to Carmela DiStefano, but she adopted her birth father’s surname of Brigante once she arrived in New York. Antonio Brigante, Carmela DiStefano, and their children also settled in the Navy Yard section of Brooklyn.

Michael Barra and Rosina Brigante married October 1911 in Brooklyn, New York. They were the proud parents of nine beautiful children, eight of whom lived to adulthood.
